Outlook Express problem

Outlook Express hangs and will not open all the way. I have IE 8, which has
been working great, with XP windows. I went to add a little signature tag in
my email and it just stopped and when I clicked on cancel it removed my email
message and closed Outlook Express. Now I am unable to open it again. Hope
someone has an answer for me.
