outlook express "sending mail" problem

When I send an email with outlook expess I recieve an uncoded error message.
The email is sent as usual but it also resides in the "outbox" and repeatedly
sends itself over and over again until I delete it from the out box. How do
I correct this?

Note that this is an Microsoft Office Outlook forum.

Outlook Express is family of Internet Explorer and Outlook of the Office
family.
