Why couldn't I find a newsgroup for OE?

Anyway, my question is:

In the Address Book, the "primary user" addresses are the default. Can I
change the default to "shared addresses"?

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Windows/Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.

You can also find some good Outlook Express information here:

Because they sneakily put it with the IE newsgroup. Try here:

microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress

You have to search on "outlookexpress", not "OE".

Hope this helps.

When I download new news groups, I don't get
"microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general." Can you tell me how to find it?

It's possible that your ISP doesn't carry it but I would suggest that you
try resetting your list of newsgroups before you write it off. ....

While the OP's ISP may not carry it, it's should still be carried on
Microsoft's own NNTP server, msnews.microsoft.com. OP just has to
create a news account for that NNTP server in Outlook Express.
