When I received an email with pics (either as attachment
or imbedded) all is ok however, when I forward the email
to others, all I get is a box with a red x in it. I
searched the knowledge base and this is the resolution:

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, the sender should send the message
using RGB color format. The RGB format uses the primary
colors in color video (red, green, and blue).

My question is, how can I check the settings for the color
format? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup.

It's at the left of the screen where you found this group and it's under
"Internet Technologies", then "Internet Explorer x.x", there "x.x is your
version of IE.
