In Outlook 2000 on a Windows 2000 environment, you can type a link like this:
<file://\\servername\filename>
You can then click on this and the file will open up.
In Outlook 2000 on a Windows 2003 environment if you type the link using the
file:// portion then the link will not work, basically when you click on this
nothing happens, you don't get any error messages. If you type it like this
instead,
<\\servername\filename> then the link will work.
Does anyone know what the difference is or how to change it so that it will
always work with "file" in front of the link?
