Not sure of OS, version of Email Client since you didnt'
specify but, in almost EVERY CASE:
Group select sequential items:
select first in group
hold Shift key
select last in group
Group selecting non-sequential items:
hold Ctrl key
select all you want (you can skip using Ctrl key)
release Ctrl key once all are selected
