Outlook Generating Blank Email Replies

Has anyone had experience with Outlook 2000 sending blank replies to messages as they are being loaded into the inbox? Mine does it randomly, to about 25% of inbound messages before I have even opened them. This causes confusion to recipients whe then email me back asking what was my message, etc. Help!
