Outlook GLobal Address Book Search - Outlook 2002

I am trying to search my Global Address List from Exchange using Wildcards.
I go to the address book and input *Technology into the Department field and
get "No Entries...". Can someone tell me if I am using the correct wildcard,
or if there is a setting within Exchange that needs to be set to allow
wildcards, or if this is just impossible.
