running windows 2003 Enterprise x64 Terminal Server. I can not find a
solution anywhere for this problem. I have atleast 50-55 users logged on to
each server. it does not matter which server i have then log onto it will
still freeze. I will also get archive.pst could not be found or outlook.pst
could not be found as well. Theses issues are not happing to everyone just a

Is it safe for us to assume that you optimized these servers for use?
Things that I am thinking of are...

1) Disable Word as the e-mail editor
2) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/891536
3) Applied critical/security hotfixes for OS and Office?

PS - A 5510 version number indicates that Office/Outlook has never been
patched or service packed.

Hello Neo,

I did apply the patches to office including the SP3 and that did not help
solve the issue. I reinstalled the Office suite i have 3 users now having the
issue. The article you sent me, what is the default setting and how will this
correct the issue i am having? There may be more users with the issue but
have not heard if there is you know how users can be lol.

Help Please

The default setting is where Outlook polls network connectivity every 15
seconds. I believe the value in the article extends it out to every 10
minutes. Since TS's tend to be on the same corp backbone as the Exchange
boxes, one should never have to worry about seeing the balloon messages
about exchange connectivity.

All I know is that Citrix/Microsoft recommend this setting on x64 Windows
2003 TS servers that have Outlook 2003 installed because it is supposed to
help with scalability. And trust me, with 50-55 active users per TS, you
need this key if it isn't present under every OS user profile.
