Outlook hangs with “Not Responding†when opening an e-mail? using

Have a remote user that gets a message of “Not Responding†when opening an
e-mail. Here is the fun part. It doesn't happen all the time. Only about
every 5 or 6 emails. User has to close and open Outlook 2003. ISP was
switched but problem remained. User reports that when it hangs internet and
network drive acces is still working. I'm stumped.
Any ideas?

Does it open correctly in safe mode? Start > Run > outlook.exe /safe

I would suspect perhaps something integrated with Outlook, such as AV
scanning. If Outlook opens in safe mode, check the Add Ins to see what it
may be. You may have to disable all of them, adding them back one at a time.
Test inbetween until you find the culprit.
