Outlook has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL

I've added some personal folders containing excel 2000 files onto Outlook shortcut bar (My Shortcuts). Sometimes when I click on those shortcuts, I get the error message "Outlook has caused an error in KERNAL32.DLL" and I need to close Outlook 2000 and relaunch it. What's wrong?
