I have a Windows ME machine with Outlook 2000 that had recently been cleaned
of a spyware infestation. Now we are receiving the message "Outlook has
caused an error in <unknown>. Outlook will now close." when closing out of an
email message after viewing it. This seems to happen after viewing plain text
emails and not after viewing html emails. It also happens after closing a
contact form. Outlook is running against an Exchange 2000 server. There is no
pst file involved. The email box can be accessed at a different machine with
no errors. We have tried uninstalling Outlook 2000 and re-installing it but
it has not corrected the problem. We have also appied the latest Office
service packs and updates via the Microsoft office update site. At this point
we're at a loss. Any ideas?
