Outlook has gone bonkers!! Someone help me please ...

Ok here is my problem .. Yesterday I sent 2 emails (two 2 different people)
they are now "stuck" in my outbox .. I try to delete them and I get a pop up
saying "the messaging interface has returned an unknown error. if the problem
persists, restart outlook" well I have restarted outlook too many times. Now
this wouldn't be a problem normally I would just forget about them and leave
them there BUT ever since I "sent" them the first time the 2 recipients are
still recv'g copies of the same email (and yet it hasn't left the outbox yet)
it is sending the messages about every 1.5 mins (needless to say the
recipients are getting flustered as am I) I have even gone the route of
Uninstalling and reinstalling outlook and apparently it didn't take b/c when
I restarted outlook all of my folders and emails and the 2 files in the
outbox are still there. I am using Microsoft outlook (came with MS Office XP)
not outlook express it's not my ISP as I have called them and they didn't
know what to do either told me to go to the MS website and look for any
updates .. I can't find anything on that site. Please if anyone else can shed
some light I would be greatly appreciative as I can't recv' any email either
(it tries to send and recv' but gets hung up and then gives me an error)

Thxs for any assistance.

Why is recreating a profile in Outlook intrusive? And what other
alternatives does Abbey have? I did not see any you suggested?

it's not intrusive, but like AV scanning, pretty useless when it comes to
solving this particular problem. As soon as she connects her old pst to the
profile, the problem returns. Her problem doesn't sound at all like the one
in the kb.

It's more work.

suggested?

I didn't suggest any because Diane had already replied with a link to some.
