Outlook Help -- please -- How do I get a blank 'new e-mail' screen?

Outlook 2000 began inserting/pasting a copy of an e-mail
I sent, earlier in the day, on the screen of every 'new'
e-mail I begin. When clicking on the new mail icon, it
opens to not a blank screen, but begins with a copy of
this previously sent e-mail.

Do I need to change a template, style??? Please assist.
