Outlook Holiday Updates

Hi!
Having encountered the same problem as a few other people (holidays in
various versions of MS Outlook not extending beyond certain dates) I was very
pleased to find the answer to this in various postings on this site; I
especially like now having the ability to create my own custom lists that I
can then import to Outlook.

However, I now have a further question: Is it possible to import these as
something other than holidays? It would be of enormous potential benefit to
me to be able to create lists of meeting dates etc that I could then send to
others and allow them to upload to their calendars. I know that I could
merely create these and send invitations but the problem is in knowing who
needs to know about these events.

I suspect this isn't possible, but if you know differently....

Thanks,

Dickie

You can't import a HOL file as anything other than holidays, but you can
certainly create other types of files containing events that can be
imported. A comma-separated values file is one. an iCal file is another.

Brian,
Thanks for the advice!
I have had a further browse around previous posts on the site and have been
looking at some of your own that may give me what I am looking for,
specifically importing and exporting files, which I didn't realise you could
do.
I will be experimenting with this shortly, so thanks very much for the
'steer' in this direction.
Happy Holidays (assuming you observe them, that is!)
Dickie
