At random intervals the Outlook Inbox empties itelf without instructions to
do so. Since the IP provider (Comcast) loses its inbox to Outlook all the
messages are permenantly gone.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Is this about 7 days after you got the mail? If yes, it is a view setting
on the in-box. Enable your Advanced Toolbar (right click in toolbar area
and select Advanced) and use the dropdown to change from "last 7 days" to
"messages."

Milly 's addressing this.

Outlook removes the messages from the Comcast server only because you've
configured it that way. Open your mail account, choose the Advanced tab,
and configure Outlook to leave copies of messages on the server.
