Outlook is wrongly looking for a network connection - how to stop?

I migrated from Outlook Express to Office Outlook 2007 and must have
incorrectly selected one of the options and I am getting a prompt for a
password to access a local network -which I do not have. How can I find
where to fix?

In Control Panel, use the Mail applet to correct your account settings. I
suspect you have an Exchange account defined. Remove it and add the account
you want.
