because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch
may update a different version of the program. Verify .. that program to
be upgr. exists ---- or to have correct patch"

Hi Tomislav,

Thanks for your posing here again.

Based on the information you provided, please perform the following tests
to narrow down the issue:

1. Perform the command on an Outlook client directly:

msiexec /a AdminPath\MSI File /p C:\kb835235\MSP FileSHORTFILENAMES=TRUE

2. Install the update 835235 directly instead of using administrative
update.

Note: This update cannot be uninstalled once it is installed.

In addition, please capture a screen shot of the popup messages.

Have a nice day!

Thanks & Regards

Hi Tomislav,

Thanks for your posting back.

As the versions of files Outlfltr.dat & Outlfltr.dll are correct, we can
confirm the update 835235 is properly installed. Thus, installation of the
update failed, which is expected.

If you need further help, just post back to let me know.

Wish you good luck!

Thanks & Regards
Alan Sun
