Outlook Keeps Crashing!

J

Jeff Herman

Here's a conversation I had with Earthlink...

'SunilR' says: Thank you for contacting EarthLink
LiveChat, how may I help you today?
[email protected]: It's [email protected]
again...
[email protected]: I keep crashing...why?
SunilR: It seems like there is some problem with the
Office 2003 installed.
[email protected]: YOU tell my what setting I
should have.
SunilR: And you need to contact Microsoft in this regard.
[email protected]: No, my brother can log-on
[email protected]: What other account info. do you
need to make this work?
SunilR: Ok, change the outgoing SMTP server as
smtp.central.cox.net
[email protected]: I'll try that AGAIN
[email protected]: It's asking for my password, and
I've used everyone I can find
[email protected]: What is it???
[email protected]: Sorry, I'm a little miffed
SunilR: In Outlook, go to Tools -> E-mail Accounts. Put a
dot next to "View or change existing e-mail accounts" &
click Next. In the white box, click on the Account giving
you trouble & hit the Change... button and then change the
SMTP server to that.
[email protected]: I did
[email protected]: Then it asks for my password
SunilR: Click on More Settings.
SunilR: Then go to Outgoing Server tab.
[email protected]: Hold on, it's crashing again
SunilR: I'm sorry it is is ongoing crashing problem then
you need to compulsorily contact the Microsoft as there
can be some problem with the the Office.
SunilR: You can contact them on the link I'm providing
below:
SunilR: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?
pr=csshome
SunilR: As the crashing is not the problem with the
settings.

Can anyone help me???

Your conversation with Earthlink doesn't tell us when Outlook is crashing
(i.e., what exactly are you doing when it crashes), nor does it tell us what
error message(s) you get. We'll need to know that in order to try to
help...
