outlook keeps hanging when dismissing reminders

My Outlook program keeps hanging when I try to dismiss reminders. There also
appears to be a problem with the send and receive. I have the option to send
and receive whilst offline disabled, but it still seems to try to send and
receive.

I also have winfax Pro 10.0, Norton Firewall and Norton Systemworks, Office
Professional 2003, Windows XP Service pack 2. I have already downloaded all
available updates.

I am running on a PIII, 800Mhz with 512 RAM (but only 390 is currently being
recognised).

Why is only 390 being recognized?
