Outlook keeps shutting down after opening

I open outlook, and get the message "Outlook has encountered a problem and
needs to close." I have reloaded Outlook and still the same thing happens.
This may have started after I updated the latest Explorer. Help!

Are you saying that reloading outlook will not help?

Can you advise me?

If I uninstall office and reinstall it will I lose my contacts and lists of
people outlook seems to remember and the fills their address?
