Outlook keeps shutting down...

I'm using XP with Office XP and suddenly I'm having a problem with it. When
I open Outlook, it seems to churn for quite a while before opening, then it
will allow me to download any mail I might have. If I leave it open for an
extended period, it then shuts down on its own.

Earlier, I was having trouble opening Excel, so I ran the 'Detect & Repair'
function, and that fixed Excel, but I'm still having the Outlook problem.

Any ideas?

One other thing, it seems to be re-indexing everytime I start it. All
folders included.
