Outlook locks up when adding/modifying phone numbers

Everytime I try to add or modify a phone number for a contact and hit Save,
Outlook stops responding and I have to force it to close. I'm up to date with
all the latest patches/fixes. I'm using Outlook 2003.

Have you ever been able to add phone numbers?
How are you adding them?
Is your default dialing location set correctly for your operating system?
Any error messages or notices in Event Viewer?
