PC XP PRO ..office 2003 .. Outlook 2003
sbs 2003 server
mailbox on exchange
I have a user when he tries to open emails ..99 percent of the time
there is no problem, however the odd email (seems random..usually has
jpg/pdf etc attachment) .. when he click on the listed email ..Outlook
locks up !! Close outlook .. seems to close .... though when looking
in task manager outlook.exe is still running .. have to kill process
before reopening !
I have detect/repaired outlook
I have removed outlook ..rebooted and reloaded outlook - relinked it
to server
I have update outlook...
have been into msconfig .. disabled all startup item ...
have disabled network ...opened outlook
if problem email is top of list when openning Outlook .. can not use
Outlook...
if further down email list: I Can r/click on problem email .. and use
forward ..then I see the email... can forward it ..and open OK on
other PC's.
On the problem PC: after this action I can now see/open email that
is causing the problem on this PC/Outlook. Yet when I close and
reopen outlook the problem starts again !
event error ID 1001 fault bucket: 467407681
second message
event id 1002
hanging application outlook.exe version 11.0.8169.0 hang module
hungapp version 0.0.0.0 hang address 0x00000000
any help to solve this one would be useful ....
