Outlook loops endlessly when sending large attachments

P

Peter

Mail sending never ends with large attachments (1mb or more). Email message
is transmitted and delivered multiple times (endlessly) until the process is
killed on this PC.

This occurs with email that I have written from scratch with files attached
that I have created. Should be no possibility of viruses or malware.

Changing email IDs and ISPs makes no difference.

Hard disk has been formatted and Windows and Office reloaded with no
difference.

PC is HP notebook model HP2637tx with Vista Home Premium and Office 2007 Pro.

Virus software is Trend-Micros Pc-Cillin and is kept up to date.

All possible updates and system checks have been performed with no result
and HP tech support have given up suggesting I contact Microsoft.

Hi

I read somewhere that you should change the settings in your send and
recieve to more than 5 minutes. It happened to me and was prooving very
frustrating.

Go to Tools then Send and receive settings from the drop down menu. Then
define send receive groups.
Half way down that window you will see Setting for Group - all accounts. Set
the send and receive to more than 5 minutes and this should fix it.

Hope that helps
