Outlook Loses Message from Inbox after Reply

I am using Outlook 2002 SP3 with W2000. After a lockup today, Outlook started
losing messages from my Inbox after I send a reply to them. I have searched
all possible folders (including Deleted Items), and the original messages
simply no longer exist anywhere. I have rebooted the computer and restarted
Outlook several times, but the problem still exists. I looked for some kind
of "auto delete" option that may have gotten inadvertently set, but have been
unable to find one.

I would appreciate any insight as to what may be happening. I can't afford
to keep losing these messages. Thanks in advance!

Check your view to ensure it did not get reset to Unread Messages.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
