Outlook Mail Sending and Receiving

Has anyone found the solution to the problem that I am having?
I recently switched to AT&T DSL Ultra from Mediacom Cable. Since I switched
over Outlook has not worked. I found the link which told me how to setup my
pop and smtp servers.
I constantly get the message:
Task 'pop.att.yahoo.com-Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F): 'The
connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact
your server administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP).'

I have contacted AT&T DSL Ultra Support and they act as though there is some
large mail item blocking the receive action. I can access my AT&T Web Mail
account and there is nothing in it. Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated. Changing back to Mediacom would be a solution but is not an
option I want to consider. My Web Mail is '(e-mail address removed)'

I'm not sure if you've found your solution yet, but I had the same problem
and found that it was related to Windows Onecare. If you use Onecare then
you may try the following fix. It worked for me.

Here is a fix for running Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007 and OneCare with ATT
SBC YAHOO: In a browser, go to https://pop.att.yahoo.com:995 If any come up
in list, run certmgr.msc (Run as Administrator). Browse to
Certificates->Personal->Certificates. Uncheck 'Client Authentication' from
all Certificate properties that show in Browser window.
