Outlook Mailbox is Slow

Hi,

I have a user on my network whose Microsoft Outlook is running very slow.
The rest of her computer runs good its just oulook. She has some built up
mail but not enough to slow her down like this. It takes 5 - 10 seconds to
bring up a message after she selects it (same for pretty much any function).
I have defraged - scanned disk and run a couple other tools.

What would you suggest? There are a lot of contacts and Info we do not want
to re populate.

thanks

Versions of Outlook before 2003 have a smaller size limit for the pst file
and even 2003 has its limits. Perhaps hers is too large. Archive or delete
some old info and see if that helps. You can right click on the personal
folders and check for size.

Make sure the Instant Messenger integration is turned off.
Tools>Options>Other at the bottom.

No matter what you do, even as far as reinstalling, as long as you don't
modify or overwrite the PST, all Outlook items will be retained.
