Outlook / Maybe Exchange DL sending Question

Not sure if this is Outlook or Exchange so am starting here.

We have an instance where a message needs to be sent to a large set of
distribution lists but the President sending it wants this to show as from
him to each individual user. Now to explain more, he does not want the to
field to just show the DL or even from him to all the users in the expanded
DL. He would like to somehow select the DL and then when it sends it appears
that the message came from him and directly to each individual user. We use
Outlook 2007 and Exchange 2007. Any idea on how this could be done?

Thanks!

Use the BCC field to put the DLs in.

This sounds like a job for a Mail Merge. This is the way to generate an
email with only one recipient's email address in the To: field. Otherwise
you're looking at using the Bcc: field for the DL, and having him send it to
himself, or some other "neutral" address in the To: field.

Thanks! Saw many state the mailmerge or some other Outlook addin but hoped
now in 2007 versions this might have a built in way of accomplishing. Thanks
to both of you for your help!!

Well the issue is he actually does want the individual user of the DL shown
in the TO: field but not ALL of the users or the DL's. He wants this to
appear as a "Personalised" email sent from him directly to the persons in the
DL so even if there are 200 each person in the DL only sees an email from him
sent to them directly. The BCC would just not show anyone in the To: field
if I am correct.?

As Joe said, a mail merge is the way to go but the mail merge is limited (AFAIK) to only individual contacts and not DLs. (I need to go experiment with this as I never tried a merge with several DLs as the database).
