Outlook message status arrow missing

Anyone hear a solution from MS on missing message status icons? This
isn't about the icon field needing to be reset, but the message itself
being stored without the reply/forward status. This was verified for
a user through accessing OWA, which also showed the same thing as
Outlook 2003. We're using Exchange 2007 SP1 with the latest rollup.
