Outlook Mobile 6 Date Fields Do not show Drop Down Calendars

I recently purchased a smarphone that came pre-bunded with Windows Mobile 6
Standard and thus it has Outlook Mobile as its PIM.

I have this basic question that I am trying to get answered since the last 2
weeks :)

The Date fields when u either try to create a task or create a new
appointment does not show a drop down calendar. That means if your are
setting something for the 3rd wednessday of the next month (as an example)
you need to know exactly what that date is.

These fields are just text fields now. This feature was there in Pocket PCs.
I have a Toshiba PDA with Pocket PC 2002 and there the feature of drop down
calendar works perfectly.

What is the point of a task and calendar system that does not let me see
future and back dates when scheduling something.

What am I missing here?????

Thanks in advance

microsoft.public.pocketpc or microsoft.putlic.smartphone is the proper forum for this question.

is this in outlook or the pda?

If in outlook, you can just type '3rd Wednesday of next month' - when you
tab out it will convert to 1/16/2008. But if the popup calendars are not
working, check your popup blockers. Some will prevent it from working
correctly.

if it’s the PDA, you'll need to ask the mobile 6 folks about it - they have
their own newsgroups and forums.
