Outlook Newsreader not loading

I have the direct link "button" to launch "Outlook Newsreader" set up, and
it did work before, now it launches this folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\SYSTEM\MSMAPI\1033

Using XP, Office 2000.

Any idea how I can get this back to how it was please?
