When I try to open OL 2003, it takes a while, about a minute or so,
to open and then a message comes up saying: The connection to the
Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. OL must be on line or
connected to complete this action.
Then another window apperas with the following fields to be filled
out: There is a General Tab and below it has box that says Microsoft
Exchange with a fillable box to its right, and below there is another
legend that says Mailbox and a fillable box to its right. Also there
is a command to check name.
Open the Mail applet in Control Panel and click the Show Profiles button.
Select your mail profile, and choose Properties. Use the E-mail Accounts
dialogue to correct the mail account references. If you don't use Exchange,
remove the Exchange account. Perhaps, however, there's more than one mail
profile and you're referencing the wrong one. The Mail applet can solve
that problem as well. When you click Show Profiles, if you see more than
one, try telling Outlook to use one it's not using now. Examine those other
profiles to see if they contain the mail accounts you set up originally and
select the one that is the one you want.
