It's funny (sort of) how one problem and puzzle just leads to another.
I installed Verizon DSL, and found that using Eudora (my favorite
e-mail program), I could not send e-mail with attachments larger than
1 Megabyte.
So, to see if this was a problem with Eudora or DSL, I decided to
install Outlook 2000. I have the same problem with Outlook 2000 (so I
assume it's a DSL problem, which I have to deal with Verizon about).
But I also found that once I try to send a message, if it doesn't go
out, Outlook won't seem to try to send it again, even when I tell it
to.
In other words, I have a messages sitting in my Outbox. Some of the
have a Send date, as if they've been sent, even though I know they
were not sent. Others have no Send date at all. Either way, if I
open the message and click Send again, sometimes Outlook tries to send
the message, and sometimes it does nothing.
Can anyone explain what the problem is, and how to tell the program to
really, really send the damn things? Also, if anyone has had similar
experiences -- the problem of sending attachments over a certain size
-- please let me know what the problem is, and how to fix it. Verizon
says I should be able to send messages up to 5 Meg, but that is
clearly not happening.
Thanks in advance for all replies.
