Outlook notifications

In outlook 2003, their is a little box that
comes up when new mail arrives...Is there a way
get rid (hide)of the notification?

These instructions are for Outlook 2002, hope it's the same for 2003.

(1) Select Tools->Options from the menu.
(2) Select the 'Preferences' tab.
(3) Click the 'E-mail Options' button.
(4) Uncheck 'Display a notification message when new mail arrives'.
(5) Click 'Ok'.
(6) Click 'Ok'.

Go to Tools - Options - Preferences - Email Options -
Advanced Email Options -
Uncheck Display A New Mail Desktop Alert (default Inbox
only)
If you click at Desktop Alert Setting, you can actually
set the Duration and Transparency of the box alert.
