Outlook (Ofc2000) no longer works after upgrade

Hi all -

I have been wrestling for 5 hours - all over the Knowledge Base and this
message board, among others. My husband upgraded our HP Pavilion from Me to
XP today. Now, I am trying to get my Outlook (Office 2000 9.0) to work. It
is only used to get & send mail from an IMAP account. It can receive just
fine (I think), but can't send. I get an "email scanner" message saying: "An
encrypted email connection has been detected. Please see help for more
information on how to transmit encrypted email." I have looked at the
overall internet settings, and the specific message settings, and neither
indicates that the messages are encrypted. I have reinstalled Outlook
multiple times from CD. (Internet Mail Only, not Corporate Workgroup). The
Registry value is correct for IMO (0).

Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Kirby

First of all, reinstalling never solves any problems. Try running Detect
and Repair from the Help menu.

the SWEN virus, all mail sent to my personal account will be deleted
without reading.
