outlook on vista

there is supposed to be a simple solution for modifying exchange 2003
to enable vista users but i can't seem to make it work, anybody have
any ideas...

you can't seem to make what work? modifying exchange 2003? in what way?

nothing special required on the server side, you must install the certificate
for the server on the vista machine. if all of your settings are correct on
Outlook on the Vista machine, you should see a certificate error.

you must install the certificate for the server onto the Vista machine. you
CANNOT install the certificate automatically into the appropriate folder
based on what type it is. Follow steps below:

Set IE7 security levels (Tools, Internet Options, Security tab) to minimum
for Internet and Local Intranet. Accept warning indicating security risks.
Got to server's pop3 site, continue to the website, the address bar should
turn red, click certificate error, view certificate, install certificate, and
install the certificate in the trusted publishers Certificate store (place
all certificates in the following store)

reset the IE7 security levels.

check Outlook, the server certificate should be in the tools, Trust Center,
Trusted Publishers.
