Outlook Opens Slowly since Including Hotmail A/cts

After including 4 family hotmail accounts in Outlook
2002, it opens very slowly and behaves very erratically
when trying to view Hotmail messages. Other than the
inconvenience, to date this has not caused any other
major problem.
Is this normal?
Is there any solution?

This is normal as Outlook tries to contact Hotmail at startup. In Tools->
Options-> Mail Settings-> button Send/Receive you can edit your Send/Receive
groups. Select the Hotmail account and diable it for Send/Receive. This will
speed up your Outlook startup again but it won't check automatically for new
messages (bt for that we've got MSN Messenger
