Outlook opens Word attachments in PowerPoint. Why?

Whenever I open an attachment written in Word, PowerPoint opens the document.
I can not find the location to change this default.

'Control Panel|Folder Options|File Types', change .DOC files to open with
Word instead of Power Point.
