Outlook: Outgoing messages won't send

I am trying to configure my Outlook using Gmail.

I have everything set up correctly, as per the instructions from gmail. When
I test the settings, however, it tells me to verify my email address. My
address is correct.

Is there somewhere else in outlook that configures the 'from' address, that
I would need to change? I can't find it anywhere.

Anyone out there that could help?

What exactly is the message you get? Does it occur when you use the "Test
Account Settings" button in the e-mail account definition screen?

Yes, it occurs when I use the Test Account Settings.

This is the error I get:

"Send test email message: Unable to send test message. Please verify the
E-mail address field."

The address is correct in the Account settings.

Is there somewhere else I need to check it?

You might try deleting the account and re-entering it from scratch,
that might get rid of whatever is causing the problem.
