Reread my post. I said it was possible for you both to be using the same
address book, but not for Outlook to use OE's. If you examine more closely
you will see that OE is using Outlook's, not the reverse.
I shall assume you are using the old IMO mode of Outlook. It is a downsized,
simplified version of Outlook that must use OE's address book engine.
However, its data source is the Outlook Contacts Folder, not OE's WAB file.
Just have your wife open her address book in OE, look in Tools > Options,
and disable sharing so you can be separated again. It has nothing to do with
SP2. The option has always been there.

Outlook 2000 SP-3 and Outlook Express 6.0 and possible IT
IS. If I add or delete an email address in Outlook or
she adds or deletes, the same changes show up in both
programs. It happened sometime after I installed Windows
SP-2!!!

That is not possible. OE can use Outlook's address
book,
but not the
converse.
Provide more accurate detail including your versions
and
what produced this
change.

On the same computer, I use Outlook and the spouse uses
Outlook Express. The address books in each of the
programs were separate, all of a sudden my address book
in Outlook disappeared and is using the outlook express
AB for both programs. Can anybody tell me what happened
and how to separate the AB's again and where did MY AB
go??
