I am troubleshooting a mail problem for a friend...
Yesterday, Outlook Express stopped working. It starts in
the main "Outlook Express" folder, but when you try to
access the Inbox, or retrieve new mail, an error stating
that a problem occurred and the program has to shutdown.
It give you the option to send Microsoft a problem report.
I then configured Outlook to be the mail client to see if
things improved there. When it tried to import the messages
from Outlook Express, Outlook crashed in a similar manner.
Outlook works fine without the messages in O.E.
In Outlook Epress, I can access all other folders except
the Inbox, which leads me to believe there is one bad
message in that folder (probably the last).
Is there anyway I can access the inbox to delete some
messages?
The environment is XP Home with Outlook Express 6.0 with
the latest service pack. (installed yesterday)
Thanks for any help!
