Outlook problem

I recently installed Office 2007 and now I can no longer use word as the
editor in my Outlook XP. Is this something that can be fixed?

No. The version of Outlook and the version of Word must match. Outlook
2002 cannot use Word 2007 as the mail editor. Which suite of Office 2007
did you install? If the Home and Student edition (which doesn't include
Outlook), you're out of luck. Other editions of Office 2007, however,
should include Outlook 2007. Did you not with to install Outlook 2007?

However, since Mother's Day is coming up in May, I think shortly after I
show him your reply, I'll be getting Outlook 2007 in a couple of months. :-D

Again, thank you very much for your reply.

Thank you very much for your reply. My hubby bought the Office 2007
Home and Student edition for my birthday in March. Both of us are
computer semi-illiterates so neither of us had a clue what was
wrong.

You can get Outlook 2007 as a separate application, with the going price
around US $90. It should integrate with the existing Office suite. I've
installed Outlook 2003 from one Office suite while having the rest of of a
different Office 2003 suite installed and the various apps seemed to
integrate well. I could perform mail merges, for example, and spell check
worked.
