outlook problem

Paul, I am having trouble with Outlook, when check for
messages recieve error message, finds the server but can't
recieve messges. tried doing a reset to factory settings
thing suggeste on the MS website. still won't work. any
ideas? It did at one time work. I have windows xp home
edition. thanks

If you have web access to the mailbox try to use that
interface and remove the message that hangs the retrieve--
if no messages retrieved it is probably the first message
in mailbox. Have seen multiple instances of a specific
EMail causing this sympton with different ISP's and
Clients--Outlook 2000,2002(xp) and 2003 also Outlook
Express 5 and 6.x.

pooint i don't want to use outlook, i will keep trying
