outlook.pst backward compatability

B

Barry Cowdell

I had been using the Outlook 2003 Beta before my local
hard-disk drive failed. Fortunately I managed to copy
outlook.pst to the other HDD in my PC when I first
encountered problems with the faulty one. I've replaced
the faulty drive, re-installed Windows XP and Office XP
Professional.

However Outlook XP would not import data from the Outlook
2003 Beta outlook.pst file because that file was for a
later version of Outlook.

Reluctantly I've reinstalled Outlook 2003 Beta, but I'm
concerned that, in November when the beta version
expires, I will not be able to revert to Outlook XP
without losing all the data.

Is my concern justified?
