What are Outlook 2K3 PSTs? And if I transferred them from one users old
computer to a new XP computer what do they copy over...their personal
'Outlook Address Book'?

Dear,
PST file includes all your mail communications(inbox, send, drafts,
contacts, etc etc).
other than PST the following files also recommended
outcmd.dat - Registered Microsoft Exchange extensions (.dat)
Outlook.srs - Send/Receive settings (.srs)
Outlook.NK2 - Outlook contacts nicknames (.nk2)
Outlook.xml - Navigation Pane settings (.xml)

The pst file contains ALL your Outlook data apart from account information
and (I think) any rules that have been set up.

Hi Anver,

outcmd.dat contains Toolbar information. extend.dat contains cached (add-in)
registry information and shouldn't be transfered as this file will be
automatically be recreated from the registry.

srs, nk2 and xml are linked to your profile and are likely to brake
functionality when not transered by using the Save My Settings or Files and
Settings Transfer Wizard.

So are you saying that I only need to copy over:
1. outcmd.dat
2. .srs
3. .nk2
4. .xml?

Also, I'm copying these files manually. Is the Files and Tranfer Wizard just
as thorough?

If you do it manually you should only copy over the pst-file. Use one of the
Wizards if you want to copy over the rest as well.
