Outlook Question re - spell check

L

Leith

Whenever i send an email and it automaticly checks the spelling, it corrects
the email as though it was written in French. I am unable to change the
setting in the account options as the only language that is availible is
French.

When writing a new message, click the down-arrow on the Spelling button, then
click Set Language. If you only see French there, you need to rerun Office
Setup to Add the English proofing tools.

Hi,

I just bought a brand new computer paid for all the programs too and I
cannot use Outlook Express propertly becuse it thinks I speak French. There
is no solution in the help files. Just like others I am using e-mail very
often and need to check spelling.
I need help.
Thank you kindly.

<sigh> this is almost as well-documented now as the OE attachment fiasco -
it's because you have Office 2007 installed.
There is no fix other than either installing the English proofing tools from
office 2003, or installing a third-party spellcheck. Use Google to find
some...

Nope - OE is now obsolete and won't be developed any more.

Hi Gordon,

Thank you for your advice.
I have the 2003 disk too but do not see any English Proofing Tools on it.
Is that That mean I do not have it on the disk or is it hidden somewhere?
Thanks,

Lucky

Thanks,

They are hidden pretty deep....I only have an Office 2000 CD to hand - they
are in Office Tools-Proofing Tools. 2003 may well be different....
