Outlook 2000 reminders have the annoying feature of stealing the focus when
they fire, often with the consequence of unintentionally receiving input due
to the user being in the middle of some other activity. I'm new to Outlook
2003, so don't know if the same problem exists in it. From James' posting, it
sounds like it no longer does that, but now the reminders remain hidden.
My suggestions:
- Patch Outlook 2000 to send reminders to the forefront, but do not take
focus from the active window. My work environment still requires 2000, so
upgrading to 2003 is not an option there.
- Provide the same function to Outlook 2003, which would solve the problem
posted by James.
