Outlook repeatedly downloads same message, even after deleted.

I am running Outlook XP on a WinXP platform. Most recent
service packs downloaded.

Outlook is continuously downloading the same email
message from my POP3 account. I have logged into that
account separately and completely wiped out all traces of
said email, however every time outlook does a
Send/Receive, it picks up this same email. How can I
resolve this problem?

I have tried turning off Anti-virus software, and
completely wiping the POP3 account.
