Outlook reset itself

Outlook Express 6 suddenly reset itself removing all my messages from all
folders and deleting my contacts. I recovered the contacts but can't find
where the message are. Any ideas?

You need to post this in an Outlook newsgroup. This newsgroup is for
Microsoft Access.

Actually, since he's talking about Outlook Express and not Outlook, posting
to an Outlook newsgroup won't help. He needs to find an Outlook Express
newsgroup, such as microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress

Hi Jeff,

Search your hard drive for *.dbx. This is the file extension used to store messages in Outlook
Express 6. In Outlook Express, you can click on Tools > Options..., select the Maintenance tab,
and then click on the button labeled "Store Folder...". This should open up a browse dialog,
which will allow you to select the folder that you determine from your search.
